Rooted in Philippians 3:1–11, Pastor Craig continued our Strengthened by Joy series by exploring “The Excellency of Knowing Christ.”
Writing from prison, the Apostle Paul contrasts works-based righteousness with the joy of a grace-filled relationship with Jesus, urging believers to “watch out” for distractions that pull us back into confidence in the flesh. Despite his impressive religious pedigree, Paul counts it all as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ through experiential, transformational relationship—not just head knowledge, but heart-level surrender.
We were challenged to examine where we place our identity—Position, Appearance, and Wealth—or in our true spiritual identity found in Christ alone. What would it look like for you to lay down your credentials and pursue the deeper, life-changing knowledge of Jesus this week?
